Prayer (Taphillah) - A petition, request, supplication, intercession

  In times of trouble, need, and want, we bow our heads in prayer to God through Jesus Christ our advocate. As Christians prayer is so much more than just asking God for things we need or want. Prayer is a time to thank God for all he has done for us, for praising His mighty name, and for just acknowledging that He is the great Creator.
  When you pray, speak forth the praises of His name. Exalt the Lord Jesus Christ as he should be. Remember that in 1st Thessalonians 5:17 it says "Pray without ceasing". Jesus is always ready to hear your prayer if you're willing to take the steps neccesary for him to hear you. James 5:16 - "The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much".
  Psalm 66:18 - "If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me". If we confess our sins to the most Holy God then we will be forgiven and our prayers will be heard.
