1. Psalm 86:3-5 – For thou, O Lord, art good, and ready to forgive

What does it mean that God is ready to forgive? Does the forgiveness of God have limits?

 

2. Matthew 9:1-7 – that ye may know that the Son of man hath power
on earth to forgive sins

Where else besides earth is there forgiveness of sins? Why did
Jesus have power on earth to forgive sins?

 

3. Luke 23:33-34 – Father forgive them; for they know not what they do

How could Jesus ask the Father to forgive an angry mob? Is it
hard for you to look beyond faults in your mate and see needs?
Is it hard for you to forgive your mate completely?

 

4. Acts 13:38-40 – that through this man is preached unto you the
forgiveness of sins

To what degree is there forgiveness of sins in our lives because of
Jesus? What do we need to do to get forgiveness of sins from
God? (II Chronicles 7:14, Ist John 1:9)

 

5. Luke 17:3-10 – and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying I
repent; thou shalt forgive him

If your husband/wife asks forgiveness do you forgive and forget
or do you have limitations? Is it your duty or requirement as a
Christian to forgive? (Matthew 18:21-35 – 70x7)

 

6. Ephesians 4:30 –32 – forgiving one another even as God
Colossians 3:12-14 – forgiving one another… even as Christ

How much did God forgive you of things in your life that were against Him? To what degree are we to forgive others? Who are you to imitate in the walk of forgiveness in your life? Who do we need to take control in our lives to be able to walk in forgiveness to one another?

7. Matthew 6:9-15 – But if ye forgive not men their trespasses

What is the cost of not walking in the spirit of forgiveness? Is it hard for you to walk in the spirit of forgiveness? What do you do in your life to fulfill this teaching of Jesus? Are you growing in maturity in this area of your life?

 

8. II Corinthians 2:4-11 – lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices

Does Satan have an entrance into your marriage because of unforgiveness? Are you always aware when Satan tries to build a wall in your marriage between you and your mate? Are you ignorant of Satan’s devices or thought patterns in discussions with your mate? What do you need to do to keep Satan out of your marriage and family?
