Spirit of Anger
Demonic- of the darkness of this world- fuels more anger into others- will bring selfishness and pride or selfishness and pride opens the door for the spirit of anger.

 

1. Ecclesiastes 7:9- Anger (frustration) resteth in the bosom of fools (spirit
(Psalm 14:1) of anger)

2. Proverbs 27:4- Anger is outrageous (flood, overflowing)

3. Proverbs 15:1- Grievous words (pain, hurt, sorrow) stir up anger

4. Proverbs 19:11- Discretion (understanding) of a man deferreth anger

5. Proverbs 14:17- Soon angry dealeth foolishly

6. Proverbs 29:22- Angry man stirreth up strife

7. Proverbs 22:24- Make no friendship with an angry man

8. Proverbs 21:19- Better to dwell in the wilderness, than with a contentious
and angry woman (Solomon- 700 wives- 300 concubines)

9. Ephesians 4:31- Let anger be put away from you

10. Colossians 3:8- Put off…anger

11. Colossians 3:21- Fathers provoke not your children to anger

 

Righteous Anger
Toward ungodliness, towards kingdom of darkness, seeks solutions, used in spiritual warfare, taking authority in situations (praise, prayer, speaking the word)

 

12. Matthew 5:22- Angry with his brother without a cause (purpose)

13. Ephesians 4:26- Be ye angry and sin not [righteous anger]

14. Deuteronomy 9:20- Angry with Aaron

15. 1st Kings 11:9- Angry with Solomon- heart was turned from the Lord
God of Israel

16. Psalm 7:11- God is angry with the wicked every day

17. Psalm 103:8- Lord is…slow to anger

18. Jeremiah 25:4-7- Provoke me not to anger

19. Jeremiah 7:17-20- Provoke me to anger

20. Jeremiah 3:12- I will not keep anger forever
